CATEDRAL DE MÁLAGA

Málaga · Ad No. 32

The Malaga Cathedral, officially the Holy Church Cathedral Basilica of the Incarnation, is one of the city's most emblematic monuments. Its construction began in 1528 on the remains of an old mosque and lasted for more than two centuries. It is popularly known as "La Manquita" because one of its towers was left unfinished. It stands out for its Renaissance and Baroque architecture, its impressive interior, its chapels, and its wood-carved choir, considered a masterpiece of Spanish religious art.
