The Enlightenment Stupa of Benalmádena is the largest Buddhist monument in Western Europe, standing 33 metres tall. Opened in 2003, it symbolises peace, harmony and prosperity, and is open to both Buddhist practitioners and any visitor. As well as its spectacular architecture, it offers stunning panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Costa del Sol. Inside, it houses a meditation room and a permanent exhibition on Tibetan Buddhism.
