The King Abdul Aziz Mosque is the first mosque built in Spain since the Reconquista and one of the most important Islamic buildings in Andalusia. It was inaugurated in 1981 thanks to a donation from King Fahd of Saudi Arabia in honor of King Abdulaziz Al Saud. Its architecture combines traditional Andalusian and Arab elements, surrounded by gardens and located right on Marbella's Golden Mile. In addition to being a place of prayer, it is an important cultural and architectural landmark for visitors from all over the world.
