PANTEÓN

The Pantheon in Rome is one of the best-preserved monuments of the Roman Empire and a true masterpiece of ancient engineering. Built almost two thousand years ago, it impresses with its huge concrete dome, considered for centuries to be the largest in the world, and by the central oculus that illuminates the interior with natural light. Originally a temple dedicated to all Roman gods, it currently functions as a church. Inside rest important historical figures such as the painter Raphael and several kings of Italy, making it one of the most important cultural visits in Rome.
