Kasbah de Chefchaouen

Tetuán · Ad No. 648

The Chefchaouen kasbah, a 15th-century fortress, preserves its crenellated walls and a lovely Andalusian garden inside. It houses a small ethnographic museum with items from traditional Rif life. The best part is climbing its tower, which offers views of the blue rooftops of the medina and the Rif mountains. Access to the walled enclosure and its small museum has a very affordable paid entrance. It is right in the Uta el-Hammam square, making it a must-see visit. 📷 Photographs courtesy of yeowatzup (CC BY 2.0) and ZAINEB HACHAMI (CC BY-SA 4.0), via Wikimedia Commons.
