Santuario Meiji Jingu

Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji, surrounded by a forest of about 100,000 trees right in the center of Tokyo, next to Harajuku. It is accessed by passing under huge wooden torii gates and traditional weddings are a common sight. Admission is free and it is an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
