CUEVAS DE HÉRCULES

The Caves of Hercules are one of Tangier's most iconic spots and one of Morocco's most visited tourist attractions. Located about 14 km from the city center, next to Cape Spartel, these natural limestone caves are wrapped in legend. According to Greek mythology, Hercules rested here after completing his twelve labors. Their most famous sight is the opening to the Atlantic Ocean in the shape of the African continent, considered one of the most photographed corners of the country. In addition to their geological and archaeological interest, they offer spectacular views of the Atlantic and the Strait of Gibraltar.
