An hour from Marrakech, the Ourika Valley winds into the High Atlas amid adobe Berber villages, terraced fields, and a river of fresh water. In Setti Fatma, at the end of the valley, a trail leads to several waterfalls among rocks and walnut trees. Along the riverbanks are restaurants with tables set almost over the water where you can eat a tagine. It is one of the most popular day trips, perfect for escaping the city heat and experiencing Berber rural life. 📷 Photographs courtesy of User:China_Crisis (CC BY-SA 2.5), Fathzer / Jean-Marc Astesana (CC BY-SA 2.0) and Jean-Marc Astesana (CC BY-SA 2.0), via Wikimedia Commons.
