Imlil y el Toubkal

Marrakech · Ad No. 613

Imlil is the mountain village from where routes to Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak at 4,167 meters, begin. Surrounded by walnut trees, cherry orchards and Berber villages, it is a paradise for hiking, ranging from easy walks to the two-day summit climb. Guesthouses offer mint tea and spectacular views of the High Atlas. In winter, the peaks are covered in snow and the landscape changes completely. 📷 Photographs courtesy of Kitetraveller.com (CC BY-SA 2.0) and Alexander Klink (CC BY 4.0), via Wikimedia Commons.
