Jardines de la Menara

Marrakech · Ad No. 607

The Menara Gardens, created in the 12th century, surround a large pool in front of an elegant green-roofed pavilion, with the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains in the background in winter. Their extensive olive groves were irrigated by a canal system that still functions today. It is a beloved spot for the people of Marrakech to stroll and have picnics. The best time to visit is at sunset, when the soft light turns the reflection of the pavilion in the water into one of the city's most iconic photos. 📷 Photographs courtesy of Michal Osmenda (CC BY-SA 2.0) and mwanasimba (CC BY-SA 2.0), via Wikimedia Commons.
